Accounting Careers

Throughout history individuals have been able to make a successful career in accounting. Individuals with accounting degrees and experience typically pursue careers as accountants, auditors, actuaries, budget analysts, financial managers, loan officers, counselors and underwriters. Most, if not all high-level executive and financial managers, including Chief Financial Officers (CFO), Controllers and Treasurers have obtained their accounting degrees in the course of their career paths. As new companies and organizations come into being, they frequently realize the wisdom in at least consulting an accounting professional about their financial affairs. Job growth in accounting and finance tends to stay steady and generally considered to be very stable and profitable professions.
