Becoming an Atmospheric Scientist

An interesting career path for science enthusiasts would be in the filed of atmospheric science. Atmospheric scientists generally earn between $48, 000 and $106,000 per year. The minimum educational requirements for atmospheric scientists are a bachelor’s degree in meteorology or atmospheric science, or in a closely related field with courses in meteorology. It is interesting to note that the United States government employs 4 out of 10 of the 7400 atmospheric scientists in the country. The Department of Defense, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the National Weather Service are the primary government agencies that utilize atmospheric scientists.
