Choosing Top Ranked Engineering Colleges

With the increasing demand for engineering professionals in the U.S., more students are taking advantage of excellent engineering courses being offered by many colleges and universities. If you have recently graduated from high school and plan on pursuing an engineering degree, knowing the top ranked engineering colleges in the country will allow you to make an informed choice about where to attend.

According to the U.S. News website, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Massachusetts tops the list of outstanding colleges as having the best undergraduate programs for Engineering.

Second on the list is California’s renowned Stanford University as well as the University of California, in Berkeley, California. Sharing the third place position are the following institutions: California Institute of Technology, Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Illinois.

By salary potential however, Massachusetts Institute of Technology still has the top spot, while the California Institute of Technology takes the second spot. Harvey Mudd College takes the third place for salary potential.
