DOE Approved Accreditation Agencies
Regional and national accreditation is necessary in ensuring the level of educational quality provided by various institutions to their students. Thus, knowing the DOE Approved Accreditation Agencies is highly important for both college administrators and students.
One of these agencies is the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology. It provides accreditation to private institutions which are either non degree-granting or degree granting, whose objectives are to prepare students for technical careers.
Among the other agencies included are the following: Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training, Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools, Council on Occupational Education, Distance Education and Training Council, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges, and the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.
As for the specialized accrediting bodies, the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools and Commission on English Language Program Accreditation are among those included in the DOE Approved Accreditation Agencies.
