Education Levels

In a recent article by the College Board titled 2007 Trends in Higher Education Series: Education Pays, research revealed certain facts that should not be too surprising.

The document points out what most people already know which is that education has a huge influence on the personal and economic growth of individuals. Having a college education can also help open more opportunities for advancement in the workplace.

The document states that, College graduates have significantly higher earnings than high school graduates. In 2006, median earnings for bachelor’s degree holders between the ages of 25 and 34 working full-time were $13,900 higher than median earnings of high school graduates working full-time. For workers between the ages of 45 and 54, the median earnings gap was $22,900.
