Health Information Technician Duties
Health Information Technicians are responsible for number of important duties that will influence the quality of treatment that patients receive. Health Information Technicians have a variety of tasks they need to tend to in the performance of their jobs. Some of their more important duties include maintaining medical records, processing patient billing and claims, preparing medical and business forms and documents and training medical staff on proper procedures. Health Information Technicians also have to prepare reports and presentations to be used by treatment center, clinic and hospital staff. College graduates and professionals interested in becoming Health Information Technicians should be capable of multi-tasking and handling stress.
