Viewing a college degree as an investment is not a bad idea. By investing time and money, often the two things Americans frequently want more of, an individual can obtain an education that will continue to pay them both literally and figuratively for the rest of their lives. It has been estimated that over 75% of the careers in the near future will have educational requirements of at least some kind of professional certification or licensure. Career positions requiring a minimum of a bachelor’s degree are expected to grow almost twice as fast as the national average.
