Reasons for Non-Traditional Education Tracks
There are a number of reasons that there are so many adults returning to their college and university educations. Many have had common life situations that may have side tracked or delayed their higher education plans. Some of the most common reasons for this include but are not limited to at least one of the following:
Limited financial resources although, with a plethora of public and private educational funding organizations and streams this is not really a deterrent these days;
New families, especially with young children, the time and monetary demands can certainly seem overwhelming and less of a priority to young parents;
Military service, although all branches of the United States military not only encourage continued education among their ranks but have even developed and refined programs to allow troops to attend.
