Earning a college degree online comes with some great advantages and disadvantages. The advantages include being able to take college classes in your spare time. It is difficult however, for some students to discipline themselves as it is entirely up you to whether you succeed or fail.

Stick to your schedule at all costs! Be sure to have a space set aside where you will be studying. This space should be free of distractions so you can get the work done. Turn off your cell phone and avoid online distractions such as social networking sites and chat platforms.
It is always wise to find a ‘study buddy’ or two. Someone who is taking the same classes as you is the ideal choice so you can support each other and study together.
Be sure to get your family to back you. Many people do not take online degree classes as seriously as they should and by having the support of your family behind you, you are more apt to stay focused. Share your experiences with you family so they can encourage you to keep on working toward that college degree.
