Why Consider a Community College?

For a long time, community colleges got very little respect. Nowadays however it is considered perfectly acceptable to attend community college as it is cheaper and a great way to earn a two year college degree. Many community colleges have ‘rolling admissions’ which means that you can be admitted and register for classes at any time. They even accept last-minute students as long as the paperwork is completed.

You do not need the SAT or the ACT in order to enroll in community college. This type of college does not have such high academic standards as other schools because many older adults attend community colleges due to their flexible schedules and weekend courses.

The smaller class sizes at these colleges is a big plus. This means that you will receive much more attention from instructors which means you will receive a high level of education. Community colleges are close by as well, making them very convenient schools to attend. It is much cheaper to attend community college as tuition rates are low, plus there is no need to pay for travel or room and board.
